A great supper club North London night feels less like a meal and more like a conversation. At Dear Diana, our Woodberry Grove venue has become a quiet home for that kind of evening. Furthermore, we host visiting chefs, sold-out residencies, and creative pop-ups across the year. Each one gives diners a closer look at the people cooking for them.

The Preamar Supper Club North London: A Sold-Out Residency

Earlier this year, we welcomed Preamar and chef Caroline Meyer Kerber. Caroline is a finalist on MasterChef: The Professionals. Within days, the two-night residency sold out. The pairing brought a quiet intensity to the room. Caroline cooked at the open kitchen on the ground floor. Meanwhile, guests gathered around the counter and watched each dish come together plate by plate.

Moreover, the menu read like a love letter to seasonal British produce. A delicate pork and prawn gyoza dressed with garden herbs opened the night. Next came pillowy dumplings floating in a clear, fragrant consommé. Sweet bites followed, resting on a bed of dried corn. Every course felt considered. As a result, the room held the warm hush you only get when people pay full attention.

What Made the Preamar Night Special

Beyond the food, the evening worked because of the format. Caroline and her team had the kitchen to themselves. Furthermore, our front-of-house team handled service, drinks, and pacing throughout. The chefs could stay focused on the plates. That separation of craft and hospitality matters to us. Indeed, it is what visiting chefs tell us they value most.

Mehmet Çetin and the Dear Diana team at the Woodberry Grove venue in North London

Why Dear Diana Hosts Chef Residencies in North London

Mehmet Çetin founded Dear Diana as a celebrated London brunch spot. The kitchen blends British café warmth with Mediterranean influences. Moreover, those roots come from Anatolian heritage. From the start, we wanted the space to do more than serve breakfast plates. Therefore, we built a stage for other voices too.

Three things shape every supper club North London collaboration here. First, we bring a built-in community of loyal, food-curious diners. They value cultural storytelling and thoughtful concepts above all. Second, visiting chefs get creative freedom on a design-led platform. They use it to test new menus and experimental ideas. Third, our team delivers seamless hospitality. We handle the floor, the drinks, and the timing. So you can focus entirely on your craft.

The three spaces at Dear Diana's supper club North London venue: mezzanine, ground floor with open kitchen, and lounge area

Inside Our Atmospheric, Chef-Friendly Space

We designed the venue around three connected areas. First, the ground floor seats 18 to 24 covers around an open kitchen. As a result, it suits chef-led storytelling perfectly. Above it, the mezzanine sits 30 covers and overlooks the main floor. Finally, a relaxed lounge welcomes guests for pre-dinner drinks and informal conversation. Each area serves a different part of the evening.

Flexible Supper Club North London Formats for Visiting Chefs

Every chef arrives with a different idea, so we keep the format open. For instance, residencies can run as one-night pop-ups or multi-night stays. We tailor the schedule around your availability. Menus work as full tasting flights or relaxed sharing-style dining. In addition, we are happy to support themed concepts that carry a cultural story.

Service can lean interactive through the open kitchen. Alternatively, it can stay traditional with curated drink pairings. The choice is yours throughout. You shape the room, and we make it happen.
